First visit is a consultation to see if you are suitable to have Zoom Whitening, which includes an examination to see if you are dentally fit & discussion about your expectations. At this stage we would take impressions for your home whitening trays, these are required to gain maximum results.
This is a longer appointment to have the Zoom in chair session. A shade & photos are taken before & after. Post treatment instructions & home whitening trays & bleach are given.

Ola qualified in 2021 with her National Diploma in Dental Nursing (NEBDN) and has worked in Slough & St Ives until she found her way to us. In 2017 she moved to the UK where she started to pursue her career & took the statutory exams (ORE) and became a GDC registered dentist in September 2022. During her registration process she took many courses including hands on training. She has been treating patients with gum disease in the UK. Her thinking is ” Learning is a Lifelong Process” and she is very keen to keep herself up to date with the latest technology and science. In her free time she likes to spend it with her family and enjoys cycling in and around the City of Cambridge.

In 1990 he became the owner of New Square Dental Practice in Cambridge where he stayed for 12 years. In 2002 Paul became an associate & partner of Guildhall Dental Practice in Bury St Edmunds where he worked until 2022. So overall, Paul has a wealth of experience in General Dentistry spanning 36 years that he’s bringing to us here at Cornflower, where he is a welcome member of our team.

Orinta is a dental hygienist at Cornflower Dental Clinic. Born and raised in Lithuania, she has been an active part of the dental field since 2005. She started as a dental assistant and became passionate about dentistry. Her passion inspired to further education by becoming a dental hygienist.
She takes immense joy in empowering patients with valuable knowledge for optimal dental care, equipping them with the necessary skills to uphold excellent oral health at home, assisting individuals in conquering dental phobia, and ensuring they leave the surgery with a radiant smile! With meticulous attention, she guides patients through dental procedures, explaining each step along the way, while treating them with utmost gentleness and care.
In her spare time she loves to travel, dine out and spend time outdoors. She also enjoys working out in the gym, loves painting and she really values quality time with family and friends.

Sylwia qualified in 2020 with her National Diploma in Dental Nursing (NEBDN) she also attained her certificate in Orthodontic nursing in 2021 and has since qualified as a Dental Radiographer in October 2022. Sylwia loves a challenge and is now on her way to becoming an Oral Health Educator.

Tarek has a vast amount of experience including extremely difficult wisdom tooth extractions & oral surgery. Due to his passion for oral surgery, he completed his Implant placement course at Cavendish House, Cambridge in 2019. He focuses on fully guided surgeries & works with different implant systems including Straumann & Sweden & Martina. So overall Tarek brings us 10 years of General Dentistry along with 5 years of Oral Surgery experience to our team here at Cornflower.
Practice Manager and Dental Nurse

Tracey qualified as a dental nurse in 2004 and has worked her way up to the management level by completing a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management.
In her spare time, she loves to bake for her family and friends. Special interests include reading and philosophy.
Medical and dental experts study the use of X-rays and set limits for their safety. Your dentist should take as few as possible. Sometimes dentists may recommend X-rays to diagnose a special problem. Advancements in technology means today’s digital X-rays release much less radiation and are safer than in the past.
Expect to get them during a first exam after not seeing a dentist for a while. This helps check tooth and gum health. If you have gum disease, the dentist may want pictures every 6 months. For regular check-ups, it’s about every 2 years, depending on your dentist’s plan.
Regular exams help spot trouble early to prevent bigger and more costly treatments later.
A dental hygienist will start by cleaning buildup from your teeth. Then the dentist will probe spots on the surfaces and near the gumline with special tools. If it’s been a while between appointments, you may have some sore and sensitive areas.
You should get an exam every 6 months, or more often if your dentist recommends it. Find one who makes you feel at ease and lets you know what to expect.
Buy toothbrushes with soft bristles. Medium and firm ones can damage teeth and gums. Use soft pressure, for 2 minutes, two times a day.
Both powered and manual toothbrushes clean teeth well. Manual brushes with mixed bristle heights or angled bristles clean better than those with all flat, even bristles. Powered toothbrushes may be easier if you have trouble using your hands.
